​The Real Deal

​This is the "Detail Monster." If you want to "re-discover" your favorite songs and hear instruments you never knew were there, the PR3 is the one. It looks and feels incredibly premium with its metallic, industrial design. It’s the closest thing to a "Professional Studio" experience you can get without spending hundreds of dollars.

​The Trade-Off

​The "Power Hungry" Factor. This is the big one. Planar drivers are harder to "push" than regular earbuds. If you plug these directly into a cheap phone adapter, they might sound a bit "quiet" or "thin." To get the full bass and "Wow" factor out of these, you really need a DAC or a Dongle. Also, the high notes are very sharp—if you hate "hissing" sounds (sibilance), these might be too intense for you.
